The charter school Summit Academy High School is known as SAHS to most people. The mascot of SAHS is the Bears and the colors of SAHS are Old Glory Blue and Odyssey Gold. SAHS is in Bluffdale, Utah, and is across the street from the prison.
At SAHS, there is a dress code. Here is most of it: Colors- solid white, navy, light blue, SAHS logo polo shirts, or button down Oxford shirts or blouses. Other shirts may not be layered on top of the official school shirt. Undershirts must match the polo shirt worn on top. Only white undershirts may be worn underneath the official school shirt. No bare midriffs or spaghetti straps. All shirts must have a collar and sleeves. Skirts can be tan or blue gold plaid. The shortest that they can be are 4 inches above the knee and no shorter. They must be hemmed at the bottom-no holes or frayed edges. Here are the accessory rules: Socks are required. They must be matching and in white, navy, black, or tan. Ties are acceptable, and can be navy, yellow or Mayfield plain. They can be worn with Oxford shirts only. Navy blazers are approved. No hats, visors, beanies, bandanas, headscarves, gloves, large headbands, or sunglasses may be worn in class. No tattoos, body piercings, or excessive jewelry are allowed. Girls can wear one pair of earrings and boys may not wear earrings. Appearance should be neat and appropriate. Here are the outerwear rules: The sweaters, jackets, and sweatshirts worn in class must be navy or white.No hoods may be worn in class.Outerwear can not be worn inside out. It must be plain, and no logos would be allowed except the SAHS logo. Students must wear the approved P.E. uniform during the appropriate classes.
